PR Account Manager

We are looking for a confident, fast-paced and creative Account manager, working in our PR team. This is a exciting opportunity to join a flourishing agency working with many leading food, travel and lifestyle brands.

The PR Account Manager will be responsible for executing multiple PR projects, as well as working closely with the directors on strategy and new business. Boasting impressive relationships with leading food, lifestyle, travel media, the PR Account Manager will bring to the role a creative and strategic mind and a keen eye for detail.

Proactive, personable and self-motivated, the candidate must be passionate about finding the stories at the heart of their brands, with a genuine love of food, drink, travel and lifestyle.

Your roles and responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Work collaboratively with the Account Directors to formulate insight-driven and forward-thinking communications strategies in order to help launch / reposition client products and services
  • Contribute to agency-wide strategic thinking, fostering and championing an agency culture that is collaborative and integrated (no matter the client/brief)
  • Measure and evaluate the success of campaigns and opportunities for future work
  • Achieve exceptional outcomes for current clients and manage an extended portfolio, ensuring consistency and excellence of service is delivered

 Client Service

  • Be the key linchpin between clients and the Example team – utilising your strong organisational and communication skills to keep track of multiple clients and client projects – leading all client WIP meetings / presentations, and keeping clients regularly updated on projects (status, deadlines, deliverables and requirements)
  • Strengthen client relationships, ensuring Example is positioned as a trusted partner and extension of their business, and anticipating client needs before clients realise they have a need – leveraging all opportunities to increase the services provided by Example
  • Deliver implementation work for clients, ensuring all work output harks back to strategy, keeping clients aligned with agreed strategic directions
  • Be the point-of-call for clients, providing guidance and recommendations
  • Compilation of PR plans/reports, campaign decks, critical paths and assisting in managing weekly reports for clients
  • Confidently present strategies, campaign plans and reports to clients and stakeholders
  • Achieve exceptional outcomes for current clients and manage an extended portfolio, ensuring consistency and excellence of service is delivered 

Public Relations

  • Develop and implement a broad range of integrated, strategic communication campaigns across all media platforms to drive publicity and increase brand awareness for clients
  • Continually identify and secure opportunities for clients and leading talent
  • Work collaboratively with media to develop pitches, angles and stories and influencers to develop content opportunities
  • Foster and nurture strong media relationships across food, entertainment, lifestyle, broadcast and online.
  • Offer crisis management and counsel to clients

 Team Management

  • Manage, and help source (where required), external suppliers and third parties involved in the delivery of client work
  • Work closely with the Account Directors on your own personal growth and development

New Business

  • Provide support for agency growth and development of new business pipeline
  • Work with the Example team to brainstorm ideas and develop proposals and presentations to acquire new clients and revenue opportunities
  • Proactively seek new opportunities for Example, relevant to the agency’s areas of expertise

Your Skills and Experience

  • 5-7 years working in public relations
  • A rigorous, detail-oriented approach
  • Proven track record in successfully managing multiple PR campaigns simultaneously
  • A strong industry network and contacts
  • Commercial acumen and experience of developing new business
  • Highly organised and deadline focused
  • Genuine passion and interest in marketing / communications for the hospitality, tourism, entertainment and lifestyle industry

Midweight Creative Copywriter (Part-time / Full-time)

About the role:

As part of our creative team, we want you to champion big ideas and maintain the high standard of copywriting.

Joining our eclectic and talented team, you’ll be working across a range of brand positioning and strategy, creative campaign ideation, marketing messaging and editorial tasks across multiple channels on a day-to-day basis.

Our culture is very hands-on, fast paced and creative. You need to be able to write long and short form copy across all manner of subjects – think big ideas, brand stories, positioning statements, tone of voice, headlines, taglines, social media captions, and everything in between.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Working closely with our Head of Creative on big brand and campaign ideas, messaging, tone of voice
  • Working also with our Marketing and PR teams to translate client briefs and creative strategy into original ideas
  • To have a passion for storytelling and appreciate the importance of this to brand experience
  • Communicating strong rationale for your concepts and the ability to translate your ideas into presentations suitable for client pitches, in an organised and interesting manner
  • Strong communication skills, clearly able to communicate work internally and to clients, written and verbal
  • Owning jobs from start to finish
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and your own time, on time and in budget
  • Ability to deduct value propositions, vision statements and develop ideas around key themes for brands and campaigns
  • Ownership of brand naming workshops and distilling into strong brand name territories, backed with extensive research and strong rationales
  • Copywriting across all launch and ongoing campaign collateral including press ads, hero brochures, DMs and eDMs and microsites, amongst others (short and long form copy) consistently with clients’ style guides and to suit a range of audiences
  • Developing PR story angles and writing beautiful and thoughtful pieces, headlines, short form and long form, online and in print
  • Proofreading creative and client comms
  • Developing pitch responses, proposals and presentations
  • Briefing and project managing any content development suppliers for supporting photography and videography requirements

Your Skills and Experience

  • 3–5 years in a similar creative role
  • Proven conceptual ability for original ideas across brand, campaigns and editorial
  • Past experience in and aptitude for writing long copy
  • Seasoned experience working in a creative agency environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively, yet independently where required
  • Self-motivated and proactive thinker
  • Proficiency in tender submission writing
  • Attention to detail

Tourism Sales & Marketing Account Manager (Part-time / Full-time; Brisbane-based)

We are looking for a tourism-specialist Sales & Marketing Account Manager, to be based in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to join a flourishing agency working across Example’s travel clients.

About the role:

The Tourism Sales & Marketing Account Manager will be responsible for executing travel trade initiatives and consumer marketing activity, working closely with Directors and Account Directors on setting and fine-tuning the strategy for Example’s tourism clients. 

We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements with suitable candidates, including part-time vs full-time options, as well as work-from-home, however at a minimum applicants should be able to dedicate at least two days per week working on the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority (tourist board) account in the capacity of Sales & Marketing Account Manager (Trade Manager). For candidates seeking additional days of work or a full-time position, then the Tourism Sales & Marketing Account Manager role will also include representing and working across Example’s other travel and lifestyle clients, including (but not exclusive to) Eurail, Prom Peru and AccorHotels.

While Example’s office and core team is located in Sydney, this particular role will be based in Brisbane / South East Queensland. A significant amount of travel will be involved in the role, including local, domestic and international travel.

  • Coordinate and conduct a year-round calendar of sales calls with key tour operators and wholesalers, as well as running travel agent training sessions (including webinars and managing online training) – across Australia and New Zealand
  • Organise and host travel trade famils
  • Manage integrated consumer marketing campaigns and advertising, working collaboratively with the Example team (including PR, Creative, Strategy, Digital, Content specialists)
  • Manage social media channels, websites and email marketing, working collaboratively with the Example team (including PR, Creative, Strategy, Digital, Content specialists)
  • Collate market research, and prepare market reports, as well as prepare timely activity / campaign reports

Team Management
